Em 2023, den\u00fancias sobre as mortes dos ind\u00edgenas, principalmente de crian\u00e7as, chocaram o Brasil. Segundo o portal jornal\u00edstico Suma\u00fama, nos \u00faltimos cinco anos, as mortes de crian\u00e7as Yanomami aumentaram 29%. Ao todo, foram 570 crian\u00e7as com menos de 5 anos que morreram por causas que poderiam ser evitadas.
